Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Algebra911 collects when you visit this website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
Information we collect
You do not need an account to use Algebra911, and we do not ask you to submit your name, age, school or any other personal detail to read a lesson or download a worksheet.
Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically record standard technical information: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you open, the time of your visit and the site you arrived from. We use this only in aggregate, to see which lessons are useful and which pages are broken.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how many people visit Algebra911, which lessons and worksheets are used, and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects technical information such as your approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, referring website and the pages you view.
This information is used in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, we do not sell it, and we do not combine it with any other data. IP addresses are handled by Google according to its own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time and the site will still work, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party services we use
Algebra911 is a static website, but a few third-party services run on it or deliver it. Each one is operated by its own company under its own privacy policy, and may receive technical data such as your IP address, device type and the page you requested:
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Tag Manager — traffic measurement and tag delivery. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data from sites that use its services
- Advertising partners (including Google AdSense and its partners) — serve the ads that keep the site free, and may set cookies to limit repeat ads and measure performance. Manage your Google ad settings
- Cloudflare — our CDN and security layer; it routes and caches the site worldwide, protects it from abuse, and processes technical connection data such as your IP address. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Cloudways / DigitalOcean — our hosting provider; their servers keep standard access logs. Cloudways Privacy Policy
We may add or replace such services over time (for example a different analytics or ad provider); this page will be updated when we do. We never send these services any information you type into an email to us.
Advertising
Some pages carry third-party advertising, which is what allows every lesson, worksheet and PDF on this site to stay free. Ad partners may set their own cookies or similar technologies to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure ad performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. We do not share anything you send us with advertisers. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info/choices.
Children
Algebra911 is written for school-age students, so we deliberately collect no personal information from anyone, of any age. We do not knowingly request or store personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please read their own policies.
Your choices
- Block or clear cookies in your browser.
- Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or private browsing mode.
- Install a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page. Material changes will be noted here.
